Just a quick review...
Got there about quarter-to-six last night and met some friends for good times. Got seated immediately, which I thought was great for a group of five. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but it got to be fairly full by the time we left at about 7 to head across the street for the game.
Service was excellent. Attractive hostesses and waitresses all around who were pleasant and attentive. Food was ULTRA quick to come out. We had the prix fixe, which is a three-course dealio. Wife chose teriyaki chicken, I had teriyaki steak (we shared each) and the rest comes with miso soup, rice, cucumber salad, cabbage, and a small green salad. All that is followed up by a rather large bowl of very fresh fruit to cleanse the palate (or we could have chosen Japanese ice cream of some kind). All the hot stuff was very well prepared and tasty. We also had a spicy tuna roll and two orders of salmon nigiri. The sushi was very fresh and tasty, but the portions were a tad small in my opinion.
T&K had a plate of Kobe beef and they floated us a taste. We'd never had it before and were thoroughly impressed! It melted like butter in my mouth! I wanted to tuck a slab between my cheek and gum and savor it for an hour or so.
Warm sake helped wash it all down. It was some of the best tasting sake I'd ever experienced!!
The only gripe about the restaurant's setup was that the tables were too small. We had a long, narrow table with two on either long side and one on the end. I was constantly worried about my plate falling off, and there never seemed to be any place to put my water glass down after I'd taken a sip.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend the place, but I'd suggest using that coupon you season ticket holders got when you do. It's a $25 off a meal of $50 or more (not including alcohol), so it ends up being a tad pricey especially if you're solo.
Cheers.
