How many cups of joe do you usually drink? I drink at least a half a pot every morning so Keurig doesnt really work for me. My sister likes hers. The cost per cup is definitely higher but if you wait till kohls or bed bath & beyond has the coffee on sale you can use the 20% off coupons and save quite a bit of money.

I like mine a lot. You can buy the cups to fill with your own coffee, which cuts down the cost quite a bit. It's nice to be able to fix a quick cup, without making an entire pot.

If you love coffee you may want to consider this. It will make 1 or 2 reg cups in less than a minute, weaker or stronger pretty much any way you like it with a simple push of a button and any type of coffee beans. Paid $500.00 for mine several years ago (worth every penny) and my brother owns 2 for almost a decade. There are even more expensive similar machines available that wont necessarily get you a better tasting cup of coffee, only fancier bells and gadgets. "Keurig" is in a minor league compared to this one..just my 2 pesos..

    Good luck!

I have a Tassimo that I like a whole lot, but the K-cup think is taking away my choices for coffee which kinda sucks.
I've tried coffee from all three coffee makers, Keurig, Tassimo and good 'ol drip coffee. There are pros and cons for each. If you like more than one cup, go with the drip system. If you like making your coffee weaker/stronger, again go with the drip. But if you like one cup in the morning to put in your LA Kings Stanley Cup Champions travel coffee mug, I'd go with the Keurig.
The have them on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $90, and throw in one of the 20% off coupons and its down to $78. If you don't have one, pm me and I'll send you one. I've got a bunch.
The really good thing is that the K-cup coffee selection is HUGE. You can get anything from Dunkin Donuts, to Starbucks Pike, to Newmans Own... you get the point. When my wife and I bought ours, we thought Tassimo was the way to go because at that time Starbucks was exclusively with them, but when they jumped ship for K-cups we knew our machine was going to be obsolete(sp?) soon.

I'm going to get a Keurig in the future so I don't have to waste time going to Starbucks in the morning. There's a cost difference of about $1.29/cup for the coffee I want to drink, so it will pay for itself in three months.

I say go for the Keurig.

I got the Coffee Bean Americano for Christmas and I love it because I am the only one that drinks coffee in my house and only drink it a few times per week. It also makes teas and hot cocoa. You have a lot more options with the Keurig, which I would have probably opted for if I had bought this myself.

There's a basket you can buy to use your own grind. It's about $5 and works like a charm according to a guy in my office.
