There's a family market/deli (Fremont Family Market) across from the El Cortez (the world's best place to get ptomaine poisoning) that makes the best subs that I've had since leaving California... They're a little skimpy on the toppings which was the only minus...otherwise...it's world class...

Every FF, we make our pilgrimmage to Craftsteak at the MGM; simply prepared food made with 1st class ingredients. My wife's already looking forward to the lobster bisque.
One year we decided to splurge and also went to Shibuya (also MGM) for the best teppanyaki we've ever had. Very expensive, but it was miles beyond Kobe or Benihana.

I completely agree with Craftsteak. I really like the place.
Another great restaurant is Battista's Hole in the Wall. Good Italian food and a good price.

You must try Hash House a Go Go for breakfast, but get there early, the wait can be over 1 hour.

Hash House A Go Go was just ok when I went.
If we go out for breakfast in Vegas we often go to The Cracked Egg.

My sister went to the buffet at the Cosmopolitan tonight and said it was fabulous. $35, but fabulous.

Last time I was in Vegas I went to lunch at Delmonico & had the burger. It was outstanding.
