Well, the fuzz FINALLY let me out on my own recognizance, but now I need to back-track my steps and figure out in which neighbor's yard I left my clothing Friday night. Wait, what were we talking about?

Seriously though, it IS a really cool buzz. There's a very certain clarity of mind in teh early goings, but if you dose-up 2 or 3 more times that **** will **** YOU UP. Really love the ritual preparation with the spoon and sugarcube though.

Lunchie and KJ/OB this is definitely the real deal. The wormwood, thujone and everything. And, with the slow ice-water drip it louched (got cloudy) very well. This guy is a chemist and recreated the exact drink from previously unopened bottles of the period so it should be pretty genuine. There are a lot of resources on him and other absinthe makers all over the net. Pretty cool! But Lunchie, I hope you really like licorice, cuz if you don't.... you're gonna hate it. It is SOOOOOO licorishy. You can send the bottle my way if you don't like! Or our good pal Mr. I may give it a good home. Can't wait to see how you like it.....

i did consider the s***ty licorice flavor i so dislike. jager sucking to me and whatnot. however, i took cb6's comment to heart a bit... want to try if the lousy flavor is made up by the experience. i know enough people who are pleased by licorishyness whom i can pass it onto if it behooves me... your suggestions not withstanding! this thread, thanks for the proper direction b/c srsly, i was not about to try the weak s*** that is lucid, american version of la fée verte, etc!

I heard Dr. Drew talking about this on his radio show. He said that the effect is comparable to a mild MDMA (ecstacy).
