Lunch Restaurant near Downey HELP

I was looking for the address of Moffet's Chicken Pies in Bellflower but I guess they closed.

That placed slammed with the original owners!

Great chicken pies and chicken dinners.

But, when they sold it a couple of years ago the quality went totally downhill.

Haven't been there since. If it's closed I'm not surprised.

If you want great Italian the best place I know of in the Downey, Bellflower, Lakewood area is Marino's.

Another "family owned for years and years" establishment.

This is another place where the word cuisine applies.

Dinner's come with soup and salad.

Great bread.

The food is all excellent.

Good call! this is where I took my wife on our very first date. Authentic Italian with a nice homey atmosphere. The salad ROCKS!.

Yep. The atmosphere is great.

Quiet. Old Italian pics on the walls along with antiques.

Leather booths with polished brass hardware. Little curtains between the booths for privacy. A constant flow of Sinatra, Tony Bennett, etc.....

I always ask for an extra side of their salad dressing so I can dip the bread in it.

Tom, the owner, is usually there making sure everyone is well taken care of and the waitresses always check to see if you need anything.
