well, for me, it wasn't a matter of developing my palate. aioli is just a better condiment with fries than ketchup is. that stuff they sell in a jar. kraft, miracle whip, best foods, hellmann's, etc. ALL disgusting. i just don't like the texture and flavor. when it's handmade, the texture is different and the flavor is better.Quote:

I knew a guy who grew up in Maine and hated lobster and crab by virtue it was the main staple he lived on growing up there. Probably not too different then my not being too fond of ground beef having been raised on dishes made popular in the Mid-West....in particular Runzas, Sloppy Joes, and other casserole type dishes.
