About a month ago I moved from Costa Mesa to Laguna Hills. While there was many good (authentic) mexican places in Costa Mesa, I haven't been able to find any in the Laguna Hills area. Does anyong have any suggestions?

Thanks. Used to eat at Taco Mesa on 19th Street. Didn't know about Taco Rosa being part of the chain. Will give El Cholo a try this week. Thinking about making the drive to Mi Casa next weekend.
There is a Taco Mesa in Mission Viejo as well....its a bit more gringoed up then its CM counterpart. Also, for the hole in the wall experience....try Alabatros Mexican Food on Lake Forest and Rockfield. Best I have found in my 4 years living here.
Albatro's - Lake Forest, CA
Will give Albatro's a try. Still looking for an El Toro Bravo kind of place.
You will not find anything like El toro bravo...Taco Mesa on Los Aliso's is about as close as you're gonna get..Did you ever try that place (cant remember the name) on 19th and Monrovia in CM? Great salsa and it was awesome on their dog knuckle tacos..My mouth is watering and now I am loading the kids up for a trip to CM for dinner....Enroute from RSM....Thanks for making me so hungry!!
I used to dig Mi Casa until I saw a giant cockroach on my table once.
I actually went to Mi Casa years ago and thought it nothing to write home about and never have been back. Didnt think it was nearly as good as Mario's in Huntington Beach.
Haven't been there in a while but Las Golondrinas was always pretty good.

At 3 a.m. nothing beats _____berto's. Juanberto's, Rigoberto's... it's all the same and it's all fantastic. I'm sure the culinary snobs will scoff at the notion, but you get a lot of great food for cheap and it starts the healing process with the long night of boozing you just experienced.
I eat there about once a week. Good stuff.
