Thread: Nectarines !! ! !! !

This year's crop of nectarines are the best I can remember.

Check out the Ralph's white nectarines (red on the outside, white inside). They are INCREDIBLE (and on sale)

Grab the reddest ones you can find with no marks on them and get them a little hard. Put them in a paper bag for a day or so and mmmmm mmmm they are luscious.

Sweet! I love these, specially the crunchy ones. Have you tried the yellow ones? Are they better this year too?

Are the nectarines that you get from Ralph's local produce? I might try them if they are local. I've gotten some great patches of nectarines from our farmer's market. I wish my parents still had their peach tree.

**** that noise! Go to the Santa Monica Farmers Market and buy the Stanwick White Nectarines from Betty Kennedy. They're $3.50 a pound and they're worth every ****ing nickle. If that's too steep a price then head over to the Burkhart Farms booth and talk to a guy named Ollie. He's covered in tattoos and they grow a mean ass nectarine.

They've been excellent this year. I've been eating them like they're going out of style

I bought some black apricots from trader joes, finished off the package in two sittings. Were tasty.
