    Pfffft!!!

Ever since I lived in NYC, Ive become a pizza snob. Pizza on the east coast just flat out OWNS!

I have 4 real Italian mom and pop pizza joints within 5 miles of my house. I can get a 20" Supreme at any one of them for $8 and they are the best! I haven't touched a chain pizza in probably 20 years.

    Its all about the bread.

I'm with you guys. I've had very little success with finding really good pizza out here. I've found maybe 2 local places that were better than the rest but still not phenomenal or anything. And 1 of those 2 places closed up shop a few years ago. Some people say it's because of the water out here which makes for a less enjoyable dough and while that may be true, it's still more than just the dough that's not as good. It's just everything about the pizza back east VS. the pizza pretty much anywhere else. Then again, maybe like nocturn, we're all just snobs. It's possible!

And for the record, I don't hate pizza like Domino's, Papa John's, or Pizza Hut, they're just like the fast food version of pizza. Or, more like Chinese food. We all know food in China is nothing like the Chinese food we get here but we order it and enjoy it anyways.

I use to love "Ray's" down across from the Staten Island ferry terminal next to the Battery. Damn that was good 3am drunkard pizza! I think they closed up shop when the old terminal burned down in the early 90's...

You know how many "Ray's Pizza" places there are in NY? Hell, there's numerous ones that claim to be "Ray's ORIGINAL Pizza". I know there's one Ray's that's supposed to be the first pizza place to open in America. I forget where though. I'm sure I could ask my dad, he'd know.

Sounds like the one you're talking about is right by where The Wetlands used to be.

Richmar plaza? Hahaha. I funded the construction of the building that that pizzaria sits in. Not too far from where I work. I may try it out for lunch this week.

My buddy has been to Grimadlis in Brooklyn and says this is damn damn close. They even have a filter so it tastes like NY water.

Let me know btw, I am planning to hit up their Arizona locations in March
