Authentic Mexican food with great prices. Fantastic atmosphere and great service. The clincher for me was the homemade floor tortillas. Delicious.
I don't like floor tortillas.
I just got back from a NorCal adventure in Sac.
I loved Crepeville off 18th & L
Crepe's = the new Sushi in Sac
Thanks for mentioning Hobee's. I can (barely) remember fueling up at the Hobees in San Jose before a Shoreline run. They're famous for including a huge slab of coffee cake with every breakfast order. Yum.
In San Francisco, I recommend All You Knead (in the Haight-Ashbury district) for breakfast. Good veggie burritos, too, as I recall.
When craving Indian food in Solano county:

Right in downtown Vacaville. Tiny little place, but damn tasty food. My favorite is the lamb tikka masala, and all the naan I've tried there has been excellent.
I was in Sac this past week.....I went to Tex Wasabi's Rock n Roll Sushi. It was only "ok". The salmon was EXPENSIVE.
I will be taking my daughter up to UC Davis in a couple of weeks. Any additional suggestions for Sacramento or Davis would be appreciated. My other daughter just went to Sonoma State near Santa Rosa. Any suggestions for that area would also be appreciated. We did eat in a great place in Santa Rosa called Willi's Wine Bar. They have lots of small plates to go with great wine. Dinner for two is about $75.oo with tax and tip if you do not drink too much. The food was very inventive and upscale wine country.
