    Default Olive cheese ball

Going to make Mom's olive cheese ball today, found the typed copy that I had made up when her old index card that she used was fading:

1 package cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups cheddar, 5oz smoke flavored process cheese spread (Kaukauna), 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp dry mustard, 1 can chopped ripe olives (either pre chopped or chop them yourself)

Soften cream cheese, blend with the cheddar, process cheese, Worcestershire, and dry mustard and beat until smooth. Fold in chopped olives and shape into a ball. Cut in halves and sprinkle with chopped parsley (not sure if I am doing that part). Chill then serve.

It was a favorite at parties for years, hopefully I can make it as well as Mom did.
    Kubrick and lunchbox like this.

You are welcome, finding the Kaukauna smokey cheese landed a trip to Albertsons (cost $4.99 for 8oz), not sure if anyone else makes something similar.

    I'm with you.

P.S. Thread title sounds like a racial slur.

Oops, didn't even think of mentioning the color, the canned black olives. (medium or large will work, I just chopped them myself)

Interesting, i've never done this kind of cheeseball thing. I usually make a cheese plate instead.
I did used to make baked cheese balls/bites among other appetizers for parties when I was a kid.

Substitute chopped jalapeno (or hotter peppers) and you might have my ideal snack...
