Omaha Steaks
They've been around fprever, but I can't recall ever having them... any opinions? Are they worth the price? I'm thinking of firin' up the Que this weekend and pass an Omaha Steaks outlet on the way to/from work every day.
Thanks in advance

Their steaks are frozen. For that reason alone, I won't try them.
Do you have a Whole Foods nearby? They usually have a really good meat section. If not Whole Foods, check out a Bristol Farms for some good steaks.

The steaks are flash frozen and defrost in like 15 minutes in water.
I actually had a rib-eye last night. Defrosted it, put salt, pepper, basil, and olive oil. It was really, really good. Very tender and tasty, better than any super market meat.
Definitely worth a try.

I get a 50/50 response re Omaha Steaks. Half love em Half hate em.
That said-Best places to get your own steak here in OC are Irvine/Tustin Ranch Markets. Pricey but well worth it. One of the best steaks I ever had was one bought there with salt and pepper and cooked on a 19.95 hibachi. If you are in Huntington Beach go to the Beef Palace.
