You'd think I'd have heard of Durian - it's my mom's maiden name! I dunno if I'd be able to get by the smell though?!

I am guessing one of these fruits is the "Pluot" It's a plum/apricot hybrid. They are excellent

You can find these at just about any grocery store

Overrated/over-plentiful - red delicious or Granny Smith apples. BORING

Underrated - black Mission figs, persimmons (both kinds), loquats (they're everywhere in California, you really should try one if you haven't before), dates, and blood oranges

You mango-fans would love it out here. It's like freaking Eldorado all summer: everywhere you glance, the streets, gutters, sidewalks and yards are littered with mangoes shining like red and yellow jewels.

    Oh yeah...

OVERRATED: any fruit resembling dude parts.

UNDERRATED: any fruit resembling girly parts.

I just had these for the first time this past weekend. Holy HELL they are GOOD!!! But I didn't catch the name (thank you!) when my grandma told me, plus she probably told me in Dutch and I don't know where to find them :(

Edit: I definitely have to try them again to see if I really do like them or if it was cuz they were new to me.

edit again: that's what she said.

**** YOU! NOT A CHANCE! It may be considered common, but I don't think it's close to being overrated. I'll take a peach pie over an apple pie any day.

I absolutely love: kumquats, Jonagolds, and avocados. I have to curb myself when these three are in my house.

I agree. A triple decker BLTA on sourdough with fresh turkey bacon, fresh slices of tomatoes, Romaine, avocado, a little mayo, and French's Spicy Brown Mustard is anytime-of-the-day meal for me.

Oh, and a really good Roma tomato will make any dish for me. Except, you know, something like a **** salad.

I love all kinds of citrus so I'll throw tangerines out there for underrated and blueberries are also at the top of the list.

    Overrated, definitely strawberries.
