Cute! Like little oompa loompas.

Just ate one.... EFFING PERFECT. The best I've had in years.
Hey little boy.... wanna feel this niiiiice fuzzy peach? Come a little closer..... don't be frightened....
Haven't bought a decent peach at any market out here maybe ever. They get a bad rap, which is too bad cuz at best, a big, sensual superripe sun-baked dripping and nectary socal peach will buckle your knees.
HELL. YES. Most of the various Cali fruit that makes it out here is sadly underripe, but at least living in pineappleland doesn't suck. The Maui Golds we pick up from the farmer's market are just big succulent beasts of awesomeness. Cutting one up you're drenched to the elbows in juice. With a little sprinkle of Li Hing Mui powder..... nothing should be allowed to taste that good.
i'm crossing Mr I off of this year's quince harvest recipient list.
I don't know where I stand on pomegranates. I like them, but they are a bit of a PITA to eat if you have to peel and seed them yourself.
overrated: GRAPEFRUIT! My God, it took 3 pages to get to this putrid organic form of battery acid marketed as something edible?
underrated: Ripe white peaches from a farmer's market. Yum.
I also agree with whoever mentioned Rainier cherries. They're great--much better texture than a regular cherry.
I'm unexperienced with a lot of the tropical fruit, though I've had few jackfruit shakes at a Vietnamese restaurant and really like them. Unless a mango is really ripe I think it tastes like a bar of soap.
