Overrated-Guava.

Underrated-Mango.

Over rated: cantaloupe
Under rated: mango (completely agree with Hip, it's the best fruit EVARRRRR)

I eat a lot of random tropical fruits because of my heritage and they're all extremely under rated as well. Durian? Smells like death, but holy **** it's good.

you like that stuff? my mom LOVES it, but i just can't get past the smell. it makes me want to barf. i've had durian flavored stuff and i think i tried it once before. you can get it fresh in vietnam as opposed to having it shipped here frozen and then defrosted. i don't like the taste because smell really influences my taste buds and also, it's a bit too slimy and/or mushy for my liking. but really, my mom would loooove you since you like it.

as for me...
overrated: honeydew.
underrated: rainier cherries.

she even has a tree of them in her backyard. she eats it with ground up chili salt.


i've been craving fruit ever since i got knocked up so i got some lychees at the market today. mangos are great, too.

I hate mangos, they taste like barf.

Growing up in Hawaii, we had a great variety of fruit trees at the different houses we lived in over the years.

Puck, we had a soursop tree while growing up, good stuff. Same genus as the Cherimoya.
Lunchie, at another house growing up I had a strawberry guava tree.

Overrated: Tomato, not a big fan.
Underrated: Starfruit or Mountain Apple

In all seriousness, seeing tomatoes as overrated is very interesting to me. I hated them forever but a couple months ago, i found a appreciation in them and now cant get enough of them in sandwiches, burgers etc.
