I went the smoothie route. I'll let you know what we try next time (when it gets a little warmer in the City!!).

I had Pinkberry almost 2 weeks ago. I had green tea w/ kiwi, mangoes and yogurt chips. The toppings were excellent but I wasn't too pleased w/ the ice cream alone. The green tea frozen yogurt tasted nothing like green tea. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst.

Next time I'll try the original (vanilla) frozen yogurt.

I drove by Sprinkles in BH's just the other day. I couldn't believe the line for F'n cupcakes....

Heard on the radio this am that Pinkberry's being sued because it's not really frozen yogurt. Something about actual frozen yogurt gets delivered to stores as such, and Pinkberry makes theirs on-site from a powder mix so it's not yogurt at all or something...that's all the news lady said.

So, it's basically soft-serve.

Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank ($2.50 per homey and fluffy)or Sprinkles in Beverly Hills ($3.50 per and sleek and well designed). Both excellent, IMO.

Or oddly flavored ice cream/gelato. I like Scoops on the East side of Hollywood (Heliotrope at Melrose). $2 and Ty, the owner, is very generous with the samples.

Pinkberry's for tourists.

Another great cupcake place is Buttercake Bakery (http://www.buttercakebakery.com/) and they do stuff other than cupcakes.
