I haven't spent much time behind the orange curtain in a few years. And even back then, little of it was spent on the coast. The only place on that list that I've been to was Orange Hill Restaurant, which is in Orange. Pretty nice place for a Mother's Day brunch.

I would suggest the Queen Mary in Long Beach
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Second the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Its been years since we took mom there, but I remember it being amazing.
Another fun idea, well, depends upon your idea of fun, but the character breakfast at the Plaza Inn at Disneyland is great on Mother's day. It of course only works if you have a Disneyland pass or were planning on going. We took my mom a couple of years ago and she had a blast, and she's in her 50's. My fiancee wants to go for mother's day as it makes a fun couple of hours for her and her daughter. If you do go, make reservations, 714-781-DINE.
Thanks guys! We went to the Queen Mary a few years ago for Mother's Day and it was really nice!
My sisters and I are taking mom to the Back Bay Bistro in Newport for a brunch buffet.
