Default Pot Roast in the crock pot

Im planning on doing my first pot roast in a crock pot. Any tips on seasoning the meat or what to put in the crock pot with it. I found some recipes online that i was gonna play with and am thinking of keeping it simple with just potatoes and carrots.

It is a scientific fact that you can not put too many whole cloves of garlic in it. Instead of adding water, add beef or chicken broth. Mrs Grass dried soup mix, onion or vegie.

It is next to impossible to screw up a red meat dish that needs simmering by adding some red wine. Just don't add anything you wouldn't drink with dinner.

This and red wine. It is impossible to screw up a pot roast in slow cooker. Cook it on low. Potatoes and vegetables will absorb juices. Delicious!!!!

I made Pot Roast two times last year and I have to tell you... put the meat last.

Cut up all your carrots, potatoes, whatever else and put it on the bottom first.

The very first time I did it, I had the veggies on top of the meat and I think it wasn't as soft as it should have been.
