I BELIEVE I'll have another beer!
I'll probably be stopping by there tomorrow, however there are so many beers there that sound vaguely familiar to me that it's all a crapshoot if I remember what to look for. Sometimes a big selection can work against ya.
Dear God, let me never get hired at your job. I would have to become great friends with the IT guys really quick!
I don't know if it has been mentioned in this thread or not... nor do I care. Rochefort is simply the best beer on the planet. BevMo! sometimes gets them in but they sell out very quickly. My favorite place to drink this is at Lucky Baldwin's in Old Town Pasadena.
Cheers.
btw, the Village Market on Moorpark and Colfax has had a killer deal on a certain Firestone 12er. for $10.

Beerman, have you been to the Bevmo in Woodland Hills? They also have a big selection. Since Vendome is literally 2 miles away from me I always go there but when I'm in the west valley I try to stop by Bevmo.
I plan on stopping by Vendome later tonight to pick up some brews and check out the hotties at the wine tasting. BTW, my favorite bar, Timmy Nolans, is right down the street from Vendome. Love that place. Cool Irish pub that makes a mean Irish coffee.
I had a quick glance around for that beer but didn't see it. Next time I'll write it down and look harder.
Anyway, I had a bottle of the Schlenkerla Rauchbier Urbock Friday night. Just like the Marzen, this beer is extreme smoke! It's kinda like someone threw a pound of pulled pork in the blender then poured it into a glass. I noticed that this beer had a bit more bite to it which I attributed it to the bock-ness. I noticed a bit more pronounced hickory smoke in the beer. I gave a couple sips to a couple buddies and they were both very intrigued by the beer.
Between the Marzen and the Urbock I'd say I prefer the Marzen. It was smoother and more balanced which suits my tastes perfectly. It's an expensive beer at around $5.50 for a medium sized bottle (I'm guessing around 18oz), but worth it, IMO.
BTW, not to steal another Beerman secret, but I saw Vendome had a big freshly opened case of Ruination bombers. I don't think I'd enjoy that beer but I'm just giving you guys a heads-up.
