    Celebrating with a few friends last night, and tried this. Excellent with an overall mellowness considering it has an ABV of 13%.

    Had one of the Fritz & Ken's Ale from Sierra Nevada at the Pour House in Paso Robles. They're calling it a Pioneers Stout but it was pretty much an Imperial Stout for all "intensive purposes" (). Sierra 30: A Collaboration of Pioneering Brewers

    The Pour House is a jewel of a place hidden around the corner from the Firestone Brewery. Anybody into a great place to have great beer on tap needs to seek it out.The Pour House - Home

    The beer was absolutely gorgeous - as I expected. Very dark, roasted flavors abound. It only got better as it warmed to room temp. I'm getting a case of this stuff next week. Seek it OUT!

    Also, I can't wait for the Papazian/Ekhardt Imperial Helles Lager to be released. I still have my first homebrew book, Joy of Brewing, by Chuck Papazian. I'm sure it will be a dynamite brew.

    Actually, I'm looking forward to all of them. I love the project they've put together to celebrate their 30th anniversary at SN. Hats off. Sierra 30: A Collaboration of Pioneering Brewers
