Thread: The recommend-a-beer thread

Not much of a beer drinker, but 5 years ago while in Montana I had some Moose Drool Brown Ale and it was great.

The only one that I've had that I enjoyed as much was the on-tap Paulaner Dark, that I had in Europe. Not sure whether the bottled version sold here comes close.

I'm a big fan of black and tans (traditional Bass/Guiness) and a couple of years back I was at my local liquor store and decided to buy some. Well the store was out of Guiness so I decided to try Young's double? chocolate stout instead. Buy a pint Bottle of the Bass and a can of the Young's and mix like you would a regular black and tan. The Young's is heavier than Guiness so it will blend with the Bass not sit on top like a regular black and tan.
This stuff is so good but be warned, for some reason if I drink more than four glasses I get a serious hang over for some reason. You don't even have to get drunk to get a hangover. But the taste is so goodd it's almost worth it. Remember to buy the Young's in a can so when you pour it you get a good head.

I love Moosehead. That is pretty much all I buy and if they don't have it then I buy Molson. I don't know why but that is the best beer I have ever had. It's just regular beer but it's amazing.

I suggest everyone drink it if they haven't already. And if you have buy some more!

Does anyone know if you can buy cases of beer at a discount at bevmo? Like if I wanted to buy 10 cases of Moosehead can I get a discount?

They also have a great wheat beer called Sunshine Wheat, definetly worth a try. No need to go to CO to get Fat Tire, you can get Fat Tire at almost any liquor store in Orange county since December. They currently only distribute the bombers, 6 packs will be coming soon.

Fat Tire is also now available at Costco here in San Diego. It has become a staple at all of my poker games.

I just tried Longboard Island Lager made by Kona Brewing Company. It is a pretty solid beer.

So I picked up a Fat Tire 22oz. Just had a few slices of pizza and the brew. It was pretty tasty. Id definitely pick up a 6/12 pack if they had them out here.

oyster house in studio city has fat tire now, in bottles. wish they'd come in tap already.
