Because a Dubbel is a completely different style of beer.
If The Bruery and Stone ever did a collaboration (hope it never happens) I must admit that "Dubbel Bastard" would be very fitting!

Yes! They would be tricky to produce though.

Some of those Stone collaborations have been great. That tripel they put out with Victory? Around Christmas a few years back rocked. That Kona coffee beer was acceptable.
I am not a fan of that Saison they did with Dogfish Head with Parsely, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme though.

The only collaborations I enjoyed were the ones with Nogne/Jolly Pumpkin and the Juxtaposition. I thought the Kona Coffee one was crap, as was the one they did with Alesmith/Mikkeller (I think that was their first one when the Belgian IPA trend was taking off).

Brewdog is nothing but a gimmick. They make ****ty beers, over and over.I'll give them consistency when it comes to drain pours, thats about it!

So far we've ID'd the following 4 as can't miss: Bear Republic in Healdsburg, 3rd Street Aleworks and Russian River Brewing in Santa Rosa, and Lagunitas in Petaluma. Do any of you have suggestions for other places that are within that 30 some odd mile radius that are can't miss beer places? BTW, we'll probably hit Toronado in SF on the way up or back as well. Much obliged all.
Probably hit Toronado? That should be definitely hit Toronado!

Yes, I know, it should be. But it all depends on the timing of us leaving OR how hung over we are the day we have to drive back.....

Heading down south to SD for the weekend, planning on hitting up as many breweries as possible... So far Stone, Green Flash, and Ballast Point are on the must-do list. Which others do you all recommend?
