I just wish they had Yuengling out here. When I went to Pittsburgh last year, it became my beer of choice when I wasn't sampling micro brews. It is an excellent lager, in fact most people will just ask for a lager, and expect Yuengling.

If you want a lager, I recommend Full Sail LTD seasonal lagers. Full Sail just came out with a new one. Want to try.

LTD 05 - Limited Edition Lager

You can find them at Trader Joes for 6.50 a 12oz 6pack.

I bought some this last week. Wasn't as impressed with this recipe, but it is actually better straight from the bottle than in a glass.

What do you think of the other LTD lagers?

I will try this one myself this weekend.

The Full Sail LTD's are among the best lagers I've ever had. I think I have had the 02 and 03.

Sort of hate to admit it but Samuel Adam's Boston Lager is a pretty damn good beer if you want to have a good lager that is available everywhere. I'm not a huge fan of their beers simply b/c I don't like Jim Koch for some stupid reason. But they do make very high quality beers in most styles that they brew.

I'm a big Pilsner Urquell fan and will also pick up the SN Summerfest Lager when the weather starts to warm up.

Summerfest rules! SA Boston Lager is great.....easy to put down many of those on a warm day.

For my heathen friends who drink the Bud/MGD/Coors swill I constantly tell them to step it up to at least SA. I've come to like the normal boston lager. If that's the only thing available at the bar, I'm happy to down pints of it.

I have really like the other ones, and in fact made many trips back to Trader Joe's to buy up every six pack they had available.

Picked up the Firestone Abacus, which is a barrel aged barleywine. Not sure when I'll get to it, as I am working on a 6'er of the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, which if I may add - is my favorite beer of alltime!
