Nabbed a Firestone Parabola 2011 tonight. Have a couple 2010's. Thoughts? Wait? Try a 2010 now?

my wench and I had a Parabola off the tap at FW last July. ircc, it tasted a bit sweet, like a syrah. maybe aging it would turn out different? try it now unless you don't have another 2010 on hand.
thoughts and prayers for you and your family. hope to hook up with you soon and try one of those beers that I mentioned.
I BELIEVE I'll have another beer!
we thought that those Class Xs and the special release of Class V were both a bit too sweet for our likings. especially Class X, it laid on the fruity side as well. did you notice how they poured the Class X off the tap? that took forever.
I absolutely love their Santa Fe rolls. I could eat that stuff all day.
my wench brought home a bottle of that IRS Belgo Anise. we have yet to crack it open.
I BELIEVE I'll have another beer!
Popped a bottle of that IRS Anise the other night with a buddy...MY BAD. Guess I'm a rookie on the spice game. I now know Anise is black licorice. Good God...horrible. Just not my flavor. Get that sucker up to room temp...and it's like a mouth full of black jellybeans.
Was decent when cold...but that sucker room temp...BLAH
Made this while drinking lots of KRBC Just Outstanding IPA. Should be nice and hoppy. 1.75 oz Falconer's Flight bittering, 1 oz Amarillo for 20 minutes and then dry hopped with another 1 oz of Amarillo. Looking forward to this IPA come late summer.....

Looks like a brain in a jug.
We were sitting outside so I didn't see them pour it, but it did take the waitress a while to get them to us. The first time I ordered she mentioned that it might take a while because they seemed to be getting a lot of foam out of the tap. She didn't seem to be having a good time, as she told us she might have to cut us off the Class X as they were pretty strong. We were NOWHERE near drunk or beligerant at this point, just a group of friends having a good time.
As for the beer itself, I just remember falling in love with it at first sip. It may have been sweet, but I didn't find it cloying or anything. All I know is that I'm extremely disappointed that the only way to get it is to drive out there. No growlers...![]()
