friend left a bottle of Gulden Draak Ale at my place, probably save it for a nice dinner as it looks pretty pricey ($14).

Hi. Mrs xwing here. ?I have a recipe calling for Two 12-ounce bottles chestnut beer (or use any Dogfish Head beer). Is this something I can pick up at my local grocery store? If not, any good recommendations for substitutes would be greatly appreciated. ~ Thanks!
hey Mrs X-wing!
from what I've read about this chestnut beer, it appears to have been created at Dogfish Head Brewery, and is specifically a gluten-free beer. if you are looking to cook with gluten-free beer, here's the link for better ideas Cooking with Gluten-Free Beer - Recipes for Cooking with Gluten-Free Beer
hope this helps!
