Ok so Efes appears to be the Budweiser of Turkey. The regular is nothing special, tried their dark and it pairs well for dinner. They have however hit on a wonderful desert beer in their Dark Brown. My wife described it as tasting like the coffee aisle smells. It's pretty well on the noggin. They've got a really decent brew although it's only good for a glass or two. If I find it in the states I'll be drinking it again.

Heading to Minnesota for a few days, and looking forward to trying some of the local brews.

Went to Lady Face Ale House in Agoura Hills the other day, aside from having Russian river Pliny & Blind pig on tap, they make a chocolate/coffee porter that was awesome

PICTURE CITY PORTER - ABV 7.0%
Our robust coffee-infused dark ale with a nitrogen push. A multi-layered ale with generous amounts of chocolate malt and big coffee flavors that are well balanced with a noticeable hop character. Deep, dark brown in color with mahogany edges. The soft and creamy texture make this ale dangerously smooth. Not many folks know that our city, Agoura Hills, was once known as Picture City because of all the movies shot in the area. ( Silver Medal - 2011 L.A. International Beer Competition.)

Working my way through the Sam Adams fall mixer. So far I'm big on their hazelnut brown but the oktoberfest and the pumpkin ale weren't special.

I'm certainly hoping so! Their distribution has been nil lately and aside from Class V being one of my favorite stouts their Pumpkin Ale is one of the best!

I've tried this. Very sour, light, & slightly smoky. I don't think I'll be having another try at it.

I've tried this porter. It's one of my favorites. At times, it's almost creamy and viscous. Others it's very light and almost watery. I don't know why. I've had the barleywine which I really liked. I've tried the Firestone Oaktoberfest. It's really good. Though, I don't particularly like citrus/lemony flavors in my beer. I will let this one slide.
