I thought it might be interesting to hear LGK'ers gripe about the good old days...

Biggest bummer for me: Twin Dragon. Yeah, I know it's not the greatest, most authentic Chinese food, but it was always a reliable spot on the westside to grab some grub. The past 4 times I have been, they were using cheaper meats, the chicken was practically rancid.
It's sad to say, but I'll probably never be going back there again.

Musso & Franks stinks now too.There is about a million other steak places I would choose over this spot, and I used to love going here.

So, let's hear it, what places have turned to crap?

All King Tacos except for the original at Ford & 3rd in East Los. Portions are smaller and taste has gone since they did their major expansion.......

Yeah, real hit and miss. The one in La Verne and Irwindale I've always had good luck with, the one in Covina is terrible though, and can't seem to get an order out within 20-30 minutes even with an empty restaurant or drive-through line.

There's a Farmer Boys just a jaywalk away across the street from work and I have never been.

I don't really dine out too often so I can't think of any places that IMO have gone downhill. If I ever do dine out, I tend to go to the same places because I know what to expect and I'm never disappointed.

I guess one of my only gripes is Baskin Robins' Daquiri Ice sherbert, lol. Used to be SO good. They changed the recipe a few years ago and now it tastes awful, like chemical lime. BLECH!

don't get me wrong. my main beef (sic) is their fries. they USED to be really good back in the 1980's. I think it has to do with the different type of frying oil. didn't some crybaby veggie (wtf orders fries from a HAMBURGER outlet?!) complained about the beef juice used in the fries? or maybe someone whose religion idolizes cows (Hindusm?) and found it offending that a .... oh, **** it, read above.

anyway, did I say that In-N-Out's fries used to be really good?
