Thanks for the post!
It's funny, despite how great all the smaller breweries are, I still love Dad's and Mug. Also love Virgils's but yuck on the Barq's

I bought some sarsaparilla extract and made my own not to long ago. It was perfect. I also made some BBQ sauce with it that I marinated chicken with. Cooking with that stuff was fun and really tasty.

Americana Root Beer $1.59
The creamiest root beer so far. Also probably the lightest in colour. In addition to "natural ingredients", it specifically listed vanilla extract, licorice and sassafras root bark, but the vanilla is most prominant. Another one for the sweet root beer lovers. 6/10 rating.
Would you mind taking a picture of the root beer after it's been poured into a mug?

Manhattan Special Sarsparilla $1.79
Well, thought it might taste like root beer, but it actually tasted more like Dr.Pepper, only with that diet soda aftertaste. Can't recommend this one, much. 3/10 rating.

Kutztown Root Beer $1.69
The darkest root beer yet--looked like black coffee coming out of the bottle. Ingredients include acacia and yucca root. This one is not creamy at all; more of what I think is a traditional root beer should taste like. Our favourite so far. 9/10 rating.
