I just ate at the one in Irvine. I had the lamb chops. OUT of this world. Sauteed mushrooms were great, too. Next time I have to save room for the Creme Brulee!
For those who have been to both, how would you compare Mortons to Ruth's Chris? I've been to a Ruth's Chris and loved it, but I have a choice of steakhouses to eat at on Sunday and was thinking of trying Morton's out...
Meh...Morton's becomes more chain-ish every year. The quality seems to decline proportionately.
You wanna try something fantastic? Go to hush in Laguna and order yourself a 24oz Tomahawk Chop.
A dram of a nice single malt whiskey such as Highland Park or Balvenie (not too smokey) to start and a BIG cabernet with the steak.
this thread makes me sooooo hungry. I love steak
I like steak!!!
Never had issues with either Ruth's Chris or Morton's. I like the "ambiance" of Morton's more.
I went to the Beverly Hills Ruths Chris last night for my birthday... awesome. I had the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer followed by a filet with a side of creamed spinach and the creme brulee for dessert, which was comped. My girlfriend took advantage of a GREAT promotion they were running where she got a salad, a petite filet, a side (garlic amshed potatoes) and a dessert (chocolate sin cake) for only $34!!! My reservation was honored and we were seated immediately in a booth in the back just as I requested. It was a flawless dining experience.
