La Costena Homemade Mexican Salsa is the closest to what I make...and just a wee bit hotter than the family-friendly recipe...
For store bought I like Herdez or the El Pato.
But at heart salsa is uber easy to make....use a roughly 2 to 1 ratio or even 2 to .5 ration of tomato and onions, add as much or as little cilantro, squeeze some lime and some garlic and sal to taste. Couldnt be easier, even using a blender or food processor makes it easier yet.
3 roma tomatoes cut into 1/4 " cubes
1 jalepeno with seeds finely chopped
1/4 yellow onion finely chopped
Handful of cilantro finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic crushed and chopped
Squeeze of lemon
Tsp of olive oil
1/2 tsp kosher salt
Sprinkle with white sugar
Lots of black pepper
Generous sprinkle of chipotle powder
Mix well in bowl (don't use white plastic)
Cover and place in fridge
Let flavors settle for at least 15 min.
Notes: oil and sugar are keys. Sugar wakes up the chili peppers and oil helps everything blend and hold. Go easy on salt and add more if you like. Onions are so random so play that by ear. It's salsa not chemistry. Enjoy messing with it until you love it.

Easiest recipe ever if you need to make some salsa in a hurry and it tastes delicious!
1 28 oz jar of whole peeled tomatoes
1 small can of jalapenos
5-6 stalks of green onion
5 cloves of garlic
1 bunch of cilantro
½ cup of water
Put all ingredients in food processer or blender. Salt to taste. Enjoy! :)
