I'm not a big fan of shabu shabu, all the flavor ends up in the water. Now Korean B-B-Q is the stuff!

Haven't eaten here, but shabu-shabu gets my vote as some DAMN fine grub--especially with high-quality well-marbled beef or pork. Good condiments (grated ginger, raw garlic, scallion, ponzu, etc) make a big difference too.

Just tried their Seafood Delight for the first time and loved it.

I've been looking for a place with reasonable prices for the stuff, but its been hard for me in L.A. proper. Any more recommendations for places in the basin?

mmmm Shabu Shabu. There is a place called Koji's at Hollywood and Highland. My first time there was after last year's draft party.

Good food. We use to go to Akinoya on Artesia west of Carmentia until we found this place. My daughter loves the food.
