yes, I have personal interest in that store.

I just read this after my post. I LOVE this store.

I used to go to Wine House in W. LA when I lived on the westside, but Wine Country kicks ass all over that store - it's just so much more friendly. Plus I love their German wine selection. It's the best in the area.

K&L is pretty awesome though.

i don't know of any local wine stores around here.

what do you think about Wally's?

Wally's is good. But it gets super crowded, especially now during the holidays and it's a PITA to get to. But they do have a knowledgeable staff. They tend to carry more high-end, cult wines than the other stores do.

Concur with all the previous concurrences on The Wine Country. It's simply the best.

Got to pick up some more selections for the holidays -
already got the Saturday tastings for January marked on my calendar.

I drove all the way up there (from South OC) based on the recs here. They actually had a Spanish wine I have been looking for. Thanks for the rec.

Anybody up in near the LA/Ventura County Line? You might check out Wades Wines in Agoura on the south side of the 101 between Reyes Adobe and Lindero I believe. They've got a ton of stuff and they are now adding fine spirits and cigars.
