Ortega 120 Mexican Restaurant is an interesting place. It is easily the LOUDEST restaurant I've been to, something about the acoustics there. However, the food is really good, the Chef/Owner was featured on an episode of Hell's Kitchen.
Christine's on south Hawthorne in Torrance is excellent, sort of an American/Pacific Rim fusion.
