...just got a little better. As many of you know, Chef was in culinary school for the past year and he just started yesterday at Stone.
Can we say Field Trip????![]()

He needs to make some special cookies so people can be stoned at Stone
... No really that is awesome to hear and I am glad he got a good job
Don't know you, but that's great!Always nice to hear good news, especially someone scoring an awesome job like that! If you do organize an LGK field trip to Stone, count me in! I haven't been able to check out Stone in person since their garage days in San Marcos (of course, have consumed PLENTY of bottles in the interim), and I've been itching to check out the bistro.
If he gets me a discount on the food and Beer, it's worth the field trip.
Good for him! I've been there a little too often lately but would love to come down again soon if he is in the kitchen on a particular Sat or Sun.
MMMM .... Stone Bistro. Haven't been for a couple of months, looks like its time for another visit. I absolutely love the Beer Mac'N'Cheese and the bison burger, heaven on a bun!
And we were just talking about a trip down to SD.
I have not tried the Yardhouse Mac N Cheese, but according to my sister and her husband, Stone's is better.
From the Menu:
Mac ’n Beer Cheese 16 ¾
Mike’s Beer Cheese makes classic mac ’n cheese classier. And
more importantly, much tastier. Made with Mike’s Stone
Smoked Porter & Garlic Beer Cheese with sun dried tomatoes,
and basil, along with Stone Smoked Porter Sausage from San
Marcos’ T&H Prime Meats & Sausage. Wow, it’s good! You
can make it vegetarian by omitting the sausage, or by
substituting tofu and/or broccoli for the sausage. Wow, that’s
good too!
