    Default Thanksgiving Wine

Here are some picks Im looking at for thanksgiving. Tired of the Beaujolais and Pinots so going with a merlot and zin for the reds and rolling the dice with some newer whites. Here are my pics.

Franciscan Chard/ Franciscan Merlot- this vineyard is next door to Opus and generally dependable, Both under 15!

Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc Viogner - Good reviews and always liked these two varietials $12 bucks!

Quivira Zin $16 -Was tired of pinots so rolling with a Zin. This and the seghisio zin both good reviews with the sub $20 price point.
May Roll with the Cline Zin as well since its only 8.99.

Simi Sav Blanc- Once again a white that should pair well and good reviews for $10 bones.

Other Pick- Kim Crawford Chard Unoaked; generally good reviews and another sub $15 price point.

Sadly, my mother's family aren't much for the booze. Therefore, no wine on Thanksgiving for me. Your picks look pretty damn good...I'll be wishing I was at your house by the time dessert rolls around!

I like that Pine Ridge. Real nice aromatics and a great value for that price. The Cline too--for under 10 it's an exceptional value year after year.

Always nice to have a variety on the table, but if there are rosés--either bubbly or still--that's usually what I'm reaching for. Had this recently and fell in love:

Truly outstanding. Think I'll bring it this year.

I have a couple I got from BevMo that the guy recommended. An Argentinian one and a Spanish one. The Spanish one is really good and full of flavor! Glad I bought 2 of those. I'll take a bottle to Thanksgiving Dinner...
