In Huntington Beach there are 2 great places all within a stones throw...

DiSimmones on Edinger and Goldenwest. Complimentary salad bar and great subs for a great price.

Kings Pizza-The Kings Special is just your basic sub sandwich but the quality of the meats and cheeses on it along with their italian dressing rocks.

Johnie's pastrami is great.
Giamelli's -any location
Santoro's in Burbank on Victory
Handy Market in Burbank makes a killer Tip Tip sammich on the weekends.
There is a place called the Armenian Deli on Ventura in Studio City I think.(amazing not Glendale with that name) that makes a great sandwich, I have only had the Turkey, Avocado & cheese but it's delish.

I have heard that Tony's makes a great sammich from another person not just the post above. May need to check it out soon.

Crushed Meatball Sandwich at Giuliano's in Gardena.

Pastrami at Mamma Mia's in Bullhead City, AZ...believe it or not.

For points North I'll throw in a vote for Firestone Grills pulled pork sammy aptly named 'the pig'. (San Luis Obispo)

The Cheese Shop in San Diego and La Jolla. The best chicken salad sandwich!

Brent's in Northridge there's one in Westlake too but it's not as good for some reason. The pastrami is great .

Nostalgia: Does anyone in MB area around Aviaton and MH blvd. remember the "Grinder"? Going back (more than a few)

There are still a couple Grinders around - not many tho!!

That reminds me of the Grinder Sandwich Shop in Manhattan Beach. I think it was on Manhattan Beach Blvd. near Aviation. Those were the best sandwiches!! Anyone else remember this place?
