Thread: Time to talk about the best... SANDWICH

For a Pastrami we head to New York Deli in Torrance. Best I've ever had. And I love Pastrami.

For everything else...Busy Bee Market in San Pedro. Have never had a bad sandwich there.

If you're ever up in Santa Clarita, go to Jimmy Deans for a pastrami. French roll filled over the brim with pastrami, mustard, pickles.

The problem with many non-deli places down here that serve Pastrami or Corned beef is they don't use a steam box to warm the meat. I won't eat at a place that uses a griddle to warm it because it dries it out too much as the fat in the marbling breaks down.
Microwaving is even worse.

This is very true....when I was a teen the place I worked at used a steam box and it was amazingly moist and tender-the upside was also the fact you could melt cheese right on top of the pastrami as well. Nothing is better then melted swiss.
