It might have more to do with the beers sitting on the top shelf, not covered and completely exposed to the lighting. Especially a bad situation for the Belgian and/or bottle conditioned beers.

I LOVE Anchor Steam ! Such a great session beer and way too easy to throw back a 6'er of that stuff. Talk about a cult classic! I love the Porter too.

1554 is pretty good. I have 4 sitting in my fridge still. I think I prefer Fat Tire though.

The only time I'll drink anchor steam is if Im in SF and its on tap. On tap, in SF, its such a better beer. Although, if Im in SF, Im gonna head on down to The Thirsty Bear, and get myself a Golden Vanilla Ale.

if i go robust, i definitely prefer belgians and british (like mcewan's).

that 1554 definitely does look good. might have to try that one.
