    Great article. I found it interesting from a small business owner's standpoint rather than a wine drinker's.

    Yeah, great read. Some 2 buck chuck is ok...the merlot and the shiraz are palatable enough. Ironically, box wine is getting much much better lately. The Bota Box brand as well as the Black Box brand are both good values for the price and the conveniance of having a glass here and a glass there.

    That was a very cool article indeed.
    One thing they should have mentioned that backs up Franzia's point is that in 2005 when Charles Shaw won the award at the CA State Fair it was a 'people's choice' type award that fair-goers (not critics or wine enthusiasts) voted on. Not sure I agree with the man's opinion on wine-making, but he knows his market.
