Thread: Wendy's Fish Fillet Sangwich

.....s'ok. The tartar sauce is kindda weak, the fish itself while better than most other places where the meat can be any/all of the colors of the poop rainbow, was fairly white and actually had me believing it was perhaps indeed cod as advertised. I didn't hate it, but it just reminded me that no matter how hard some places try, and Wendy's of all fast food is probably the best, they just can't get fish right.

And I had high hopes for that sangwich, too...

By all means, give it a try. Its one of the better one's amongst fast food fish sangwiches...but its still inherently a fast food fish sangwich. Didn't hate it, I just know of places i can get a really good one for maybe a couple bucks more. I'd recommend extra tartar sauce if you can, or tell them to hold the tartar altogether and put on some good stuff you have at home or something.

I'm not a tartar sauce fan to begin with. I'd have them hold it and then I'd zazz it up with a little Dijonnaise or something. It just looked like a big ass chunk of fish on that sangwich...which is a lot different than any other fast food fish sangwich.

That's what I thought to.

Put some lemon and Tapatio on that mother. MMMMmmmm that sounds like good eats.

I finally broke down and tried one of these the other night at the Wendy's in the PHX airport's D concourse.

Not bad.

I had them hold the tartar sauce, and instead I used about 1/4 packet of the honey mustard dipping sauce that they normally give out with the chicken nuggets. Pretty tasty. The filet isn't as big and thick as it is in the picture on the menu, and that was a tad disappointing. Still, it's got more than the stupid Filet-O-Fish does. The breading was crunchy. The bun was a little bit much...too damned fluffy/gummy/gooey/white-bread-y.

All-in-all, not bad for less than $3 with my employee's discount. Would I get it again? Perhaps. It won't be a regular thing, though.

I've been addicted to McDonalds FoF since it's inception. I'll have to try this.

It's ok. Filet o Fish is better.
