We are the Samurai, the warrior elite who protect and serve. Armed and armored from head to toe, masters of our personal weapons and bound by Honor, Duty, Loyalty, and Honesty. We walk the long path into the places society would prefer forgotten, and chase those demons that most would run from screaming in fear. We are the Samurai.
Weiner Factory in Sherman Oaks.
Best damn turkey dogs (don't eat beef) ever! They had a nice, spicy kick to them. Used to order mine with chili, mustard and chopped onions, or as they used to say "Tom, CCO".
It was a tiny little dump on Ventura Blvd. near Kester with crazy sayings written on the wall (one that comes to mind was "Boycott shampoo, demand the real poo!"). Also, they steamed all their dogs and buns and on cold days the entire place would fill with steam, fogging over the windows and making for a cool atmosphere in which to consume your dogs.
WF closed on December 31, 2007. I was among those waiting in line on the last day to eat our last WF dogs and say goodbye to its friendly owners, Kevin and Sher.
Damn, I miss that place dearly. Other hot dog places serve just plain old turkey dogs without a bit of spice or flavor. RIP, WF.

Round Table is still open but they used to have these things called Pizzatatoes that were little potato skin pizzas and they were phenomenal.
Also, when I lived in Claremont there was this sports bar called Sneakers in Upland that was great when I was a kid and deteriorated as I got older and has since gone out of business.
Great Steak & Potato Co has closed all the loc's I'm aware of and I loved that place. Charlie's is a good substitute but there aren't many that know of.
