Third night in a row I'm on the Yellow Tail Chardonnay.
Stuff is starting to taste like vinegar to me.

I'm finishing off the Yellow Tail Chard.
It'll never be the same.
Peet's 101 Blend.
2006 Beringer White Zinfandel
Dang, it's just way too sweet.
I'm nowhere near being a wine snob, but this is absolute crap.

Well, that's because it's barely even wine. Bogey Man, I'm not running smack but just curious where are you buying? I ask because if you've someplace in reach with a decent international selection, in the roughly $5.00 price range there are some options that will top your last two selections easily. And in the $7 or $8 range your choices get MUCH better still. Right now Spain is about the best value on the market IMHO and really worth exploring. And at that lower price-point you can probably still find something from Chile or Argentina (red or white) that will surprise you. You should leave your last two behind--forever--and check these out. If you really want to enjoy your wine, find a few (non-warehouse) places that have a good variety and where you feel comfortable and get a salesperson's suggestions. You'll get tastier wine and feel better after drinking it too--they're allowed to put a lot of stuff in wine, and the cheap crap will make you sick. Seriously.
...oh yeah...no hallucinations yet...
I just went on a binge and bought some from the grocery store.
Wasn't looking for quality stuff, just bought whatever.
The Yellow Tail chard really wasn't that bad.
Right now, I'm drinking a Yellow Tail Pinot Noir and it's not bad either.
I'll take you up on your suggestions.
Just saw your post for the first time today.
Thanks.
Please take Otto's great advice. Seriously Two Buck Chuck > White Zinfandel or Merlot. It's not completely fermented and they add sugar to the "wine."
If you don't want to spend too much, Trader Joe's has better offerings in the $5-10 range than your typical grocery store. I would go to a wine shop, Like The Wine Country or K&L, tell them what you like and the price range you are comfortable with, and have them make suggestions for you.
