I'm am so happy to see St. Germain getting some love here. It is truly unique and SO good. Hell, the other day I segmented some grapefruit, cut up some strawberries, kiwi and an apple and tossed it all in the grapefruit's juices. Poured a tiny bit of rose syrup over it and added a good drizzle of St. G. Yeah. Fruit salad for adults.

I down St. Germain straight from the bottle as if it's soda. Sashi restaurant in Manhattan Beach, makes a great cocktail with St. Germain and Veev acai liqueur.

I think it creates a wormhole actually.

Never liked scotch in cocktails, but a good rusty nail is magic.

Just made MY Mai Tai, and yeah, it's the best:

1-1/2 oz St. James Extra Old Rum (agricole from Martinique)
1 oz Myers Dark (only 'cause I am out of Coruba)
    3/4 oz orange curacao
    1/2 oz orgeat syrup
1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice (gotta squeeze 'em by hand to get the oils out of the rind)

and my deviation, instead of the 1/2 oz simple sugar syrup in the original classic recipe, I sub:

    1/2 oz falernum
    1/2 oz domain de canton

Adds a crisp ginger note to it. Add a mint sprig, you think you'd died and gone to heaven.
