From my experience, traditional New York style pizza doesn't go well with anybody who hasn't lived there and had to "accept" that type of pie. Same goes with Pitts style and Chicago style. Chicago style is my favorite though.

garlic, pepperoni, onions, bell peppers, red pepper flakes,
i like NY style pizza and i've never lived there before... every time i visit though, i have to get some pizza.
chicago style is good, too, but i can't eat as much of it because of all the crust.
i cook with thai basil but usually in vietnamese food. never mixed sweet & thai. interesting...
i don't think i can get away with that at home though since my husband hates basil and it's hard enough to get him to eat it in its traditionally intended way.
pepperoni, sausage, bacon, black olives and mushrooms are my standard toppings, I might not get them all at one time though. NY style.
If offered I like portuguese sausage and more varieties of mushrooms.

Canadian bacon wins every single freakin' time.
Unforuntately I only know a few decent pizza places out here and none are phenomenal. I'll have to make sure to get me some pizza, as well as Chinese food, when I go back to NJ in November. I miss the good stuff.
