The easy way is using pillsbury croissants, a better way is using some puff pastry.

ya, i did it the easy way. used the butter flake pillsbury croissants. turned out pretty good. i'm sure puff pastry would be divine, maybe when i have more time. it's funny though. aside from hors d'oeuvres at a wedding 2 years ago, the last time i had pigs in a blanket was when i was a kid.

I had pancake wrapped breakfast sausages the last time I tried them. I prefer a flakier pastry with a linguica style sausage instead.
