wow!
Rinkrat, hit that beef palace place you go and give some tongue a try if you haven't had it before, once it's trimmed to get rid of the nasty tastebuds haha I think you'll be surprised by the texture and flavor of it. Very tender and tasty if quickly grilled.
I haven't tried the mexican lengua style myself so I don't know how that preparation is.
I went to a Food Truck Fest and tried Peruvian chicken fried rice from Lomo Arigato (it was pretty good, though it could be because I was super hungry), some tofu & eggplant skewer thing from some Korean food truck (Ahn-Joo?), and topped off with a s'more crepe with nutella instead of chocolate sauce from CrepeNAround. It was deeeeelicious!
Had dinner at Morimoto's in Hawaii, food pics when I get back to CA.
I'll leave you with this unflattering picture though.

instead i had panko crusted tilapia with spaghetti and a meyer lemon and pistachio pesto. arugula/rocket with parmesan and olive oil & vinegar on the side.
Chicken fried snake, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, coconut/pinapple ice cream
T-bones.
Might not be as great as Beef Palace but they're not bad at all when Stater Bros has them for $3.99/lb.
