tortilla-less steak fajita with rice that I stole from the weekly staff munch meeting at work. well, they did have tortillas but I didn't pack those.
I BELIEVE I'll have another beer!

call me a food snob, but that above is one of my main pet peeves. I know, the battles seem to not end at all, I really do prefer that people know the damn difference in between those two pies. if I were to order a shepherd's pie, trust me I always ask first, I get pissed off and leave when their's is actually cottage pie. I mean, what kind of a restaurant serves the wrong kind of meal the wrong way? this is like making a mac and cheese then calling it a spaghetti.

anyway, /rant. in the meantime, please correctly refer to one or the other as such and such when one has lamb and other has beef. thank you. doing so goes a long way.

how is it as compared to pulling it beforehand? wouldn't it be a bit hot to handle, and messy when marinaded?

i got some green tomatoes at the farmers market so i also made fried green tomatoes with a garlic aioli tonight.
Yikes, at least down here the Ralph's carries baguettes from a local bakery (I usually go to the bakery, Bread & Cie to get it from the source when I want to deal with parking hassles)
The quality of bread, especially for a baguette is what makes or breaks a nice cheese/salumi/etc meal.

W/beef has been known as Shepherd's Pie for so long here that most people don't even wonder about it.

Here's some yummy Cottage Pie from my local British Pub, I probably get it once a month.
