haha, exactly. i do usually try to get by, but that's probably something i'd definitely not be able to eat.
some places... i went out to dinner once with my ex-bf's family and they chose joe's crab shack. i hate that place (for various reasons). his sister is a vegetarian so she ordered a personal cheese pizza and it mistakenly came to the table with pepperoni on it. she sent it back but when they brought the "new" one to her, she could tell that they had just peeled the pepperoni slices off. she was not stoked. lol.

So I have to preface this comment as I haven't been there in a while but Damon's in Glendale always had an amazing Tenderloin. The salad, cheesy bread and twice baked potato are awesome as well. I know that the family that originally owned the restaurant don't any longer but the new owners are said to be using the same recipes. Also great Mai Tai's.

The Boat in SG is pretty awesome too.
I BELIEVE I'll have another beer!

That is where I have to disagree. I've seen many a good cut completely destroyed by a bad grill job.

We go here at least 4 or 5 times a year for steak, salad, the best potatos and chi chi's. Fantastic!

We came across this by accident. My hubbypat and I often stay at the Crowne plaza in Ventrua beach to get away and he surfs and I read and fish. Perfect. Well, we like to go to Erik Erikson's on the pier. One day the surf was great so pat didn't get back in time for us to go to Erikson's and ended up at the Aloha steakhouse instead. Oh My!!! The steaks were very very delicious and everyone was so nice as well as laid back. We go whenever we can now and have never been dissapointed. If you are looking for a good one in Ventura, stop in and try it.

Good to know that it is still good even though it changed hands. My old high school buddies still go en masse there when they do their quarterly get together's. Some of the original recipes just were too good to mess with.

One other thing. Damon's always did a great steak sandwich for lunch as well.

They have fish and chips on the reg menu, but they are just good. BUT, once in a while they have fresh Cod fish and chips on the bulletin board that we have tried and it was the best i've ever had. And I consider myself a fish and chips expert. :-)

    Chi Chi
    1 1/2 oz vodka
    4 oz pineapple juice
    1 oz cream of coconut
    1 slice pineapple
    1 cherry

Blend vodka, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut with one cup ice in an electric blender at a high speed. Pour into a red wine glass, decorate with the slice of pineapple and the cherry, and serve

Here is a pic. So so good!! Especially made at Damon's Steakhouse in Glendale.
