Whats the Hottest/Spiciest Food youve ever eaten?

A long time ago ( in a galaxy far, far... nerd alert! :30smile:) I was eating dinner in Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico, just before heading to Elephant Butte for a weekend on the water. I ate a lightly grilled jalepeno after my friend's dad downed one and asked if I'd like one too. I spent the next 15 minutes gasping for air and clutching any available fluids. Not sure where they got those peppers, but I sure as hell won't ever forget it!

The hottest palatable sauce I've had is called "Fear Itself." It's a roasted habanero sauce I first tried in Vancouver, BC. Turns out, it is actually made there. Yes a Canadian hot sauce!!

A little bit of this stuff goes a long way, and the over zealous (such as myself) will get a rude awakening and will be yelling/begging the bartender for a glass of milk.

Used VERY sparingly, it has got some great smokey flavor, aside from the kick.

The stuff in the amber bottle is called pure cap i think, and yes, more than 2 drops and its over.

Yea, I don't know what them Aggies are up to down there. It's like they're trying to grow 'weapons grade' chiles. And it's probably no farkin coincidence that where I ate my hottest chile ever was in close proximity to that field. :target:

Birmingham, England has a large Indian population and the restaurants there are excellent. 30 years ago, on my first trip to an Indian eating establishment there I boldly ordered lamb vindaloo prepared "spicy". My English friends tried to dissuade me but... Oh my God!!! Shock and pain! I learned my lesson quickly.

I've bit into some pepper at a chinese restaurant in South Pasadena. it was OMG so burning hot my ears just about blew the drums out.

one other night (henry1515 should remember that) I had a small yellow pepper (habanero? at Chris n Pitts in Downey) and ended up the same way.

I eat at a Thai place all the time. I overheard the person behind us order their dish " Thai Spicey". I like hot stuff so I thought I'd order mine the same. That stuff SMOKED me!

I had some Jamaican jerk chicken that had to be one of the hottest things Ive ever had,aside from hot sauces.
