What's the hottest thing you've ever made?
I don't normally do hot for hot's sake but I wanted to see just how hot I could make a batch of habanero sauce. So I took 4oz. of habaneros, removed the stems (with gloves of course), and boiled them whole with about 1 1/2 cups of water for 20 minutes until they became soft. Then I took the peppers & the water and blended it together. Since it was still too watery I put it back on the stove & reduced it until it had more of a sauce consistency. And finally I added a little salt for flavor.
I tried a little bit with some chips and holy crap, it was the hottest thing I've ever eaten. I had to drink a glass of milk, eat 1/2 a quart of ice cream, and brush my teeth in order to get the heat out of my mouth. Not only that but I had to immediately wash all the dishes, take all the trash outside, and open the windows so the fumes would dissipate.

sounds like a nice time in the bathroom.
Hottest thing I made was relatively simple to make.
I took some farmer John sausages and added about a half a cup of Jalapeno seeds and a ton of garlic. **** was reeking the house and burning my mouth. It smelled bad for a whole week.

I once used 6 whole chopped habaneros (minus stems) in a kung pao chicken recipe... The flavor was an improvement...but the smoke coming out of my shorts every time I passed wind was something else...
I think it took six chocolate milk shakes to finally get the heat down to a minimal level...
